Damien Varaillon

DamienVaraillon-Laborie starts the electric bass by himself before entering the academy of Marseille.
At 21, he stopped his studies after his Musicology DEUG to devote himself fully to achieving his musical studies diploma (DEM) in classical double bass, chamber music, jazz and bass.
Damien joined since the jazz department at the National Superior Conservatory of Music and Dance in Paris (CNSM).
He has performed in various contexts: Symphonic music including the orchestra of Cannes under the direction of Philippe Bender, the Marseille Opera under the direction of Jean Claude Casadesus, the Youth Orchestra of the Mediterranean with Laurent and Koercia Olivier Charlier as soloist in Jazz Festivals (Pinarello, Tanjazz Morocco, Jazz on the city of enamels chips, Segre jazz festival Montauband Jazz Festival Jazz in Stochkolm, Marciac Jazz ...), big band with Red Star Orchestra and Olivia Ruiz, tours in London, Mexico, Africa alongside the quartet of trumpeter Nicolas Folmer, Italy etc ... Clubs (Sunset, Duc des Lombards, Around Midi Minuit, the barge Improviste the shovel mixes ...) and recorded with Sylvain Courtney quartet, Lindau Hbf (2nd group prize jazz defense), Olivier Robin quintet, trio Enzo Carniel, Mickael Cheret, etc ... and had the chance to meet at masterclass including Chris Potter, Adam Nusbaum, Larry Grenadier, Billy Hart, Kendrick Scott, Justin Brown.
